About This Role

This role involves planning, directing, and controlling the maintenance department to ensure plant equipment and facilities are maintained according to good engineering practices. The supervisor will oversee preventive maintenance, equipment repair, and facility modifications to improve operations and reduce costs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the preventive maintenance program and maintenance of equipment and facilities
  • Develop, maintain, and administer an organization qualified to maintain all equipment and facilities in a safe and efficient working condition
  • Execute an effective preventive maintenance program to minimize unscheduled down time
  • Maintain all operating equipment in satisfactory condition and schedule needed repair with minimum interference
  • Consult with other departments regarding desirable modifications of existing equipment and facilities
  • Coordinate the efficient operation of facilities with project engineers (may be required)
  • Coordinate and oversee the efficient maintenance of all plant transportation equipment
  • Analyze cost studies equipment in the department designed to secure reduced operating costs and make recommendations to the Plant Manager
  • Develop objectives and standards of performance for projects within the Maintenance Department
  • Plan and provide for an adequate supply and ensure control over spare parts and maintenance supplies
  • Provide leadership and maintenance training to MRF Maintenance Technicians
  • Ensure Preventative inspections and Corrective repairs meet or exceed company standards

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. (accredited)
  • 4 years of relevant work experience

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. (accredited)
  • 4 years of relevant work experience in addition to education requirement
