The Recreation Leader II helps create memorable experiences for guests at McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park by planning events, enforcing safety, assisting patrons, and supporting park operations in areas like concessions, front desk, and ride operations.
Responsibilities
- Plan and lead special events, games, sports, arts & crafts, and birthday parties
- Enforce safety rules and maintain order and crowd control with a friendly approach
- Greet and assist patrons of all ages
- Provide park information and answer questions clearly
- Take orders, prepare, and serve food and drinks
- Operate and clean cooking equipment
- Manage cash and point-of-sale transactions
- Welcome guests, answer phones, and handle inquiries
- Use ActiveNet recreation software for reservations, event registration, and memberships
- Operate the carousel and diesel engine miniature train on its one-mile track
- Conduct park roves to ensure safety and security and provide customer service
- Perform opening/closing tasks such as locking/unlocking gates and raising/lowering flags
Requirements
- Minimum of six months experience in a customer service position
- Ability to complete driving training, first aid, and safety classes
- Reside in the State of Arizona during active employment
