The Receiving Clerk is an essential part of supply chain operations, responsible for receiving, inspecting, and recording incoming shipments. This role ensures timely and accurate delivery of goods, maintains quality standards, and properly stores inventory for airline dining experiences.
Responsibilities
- Accept deliveries from suppliers and check against purchase order for accuracy and quality
- Notify of incorrect, broken, or missing items and complete documentation
- Assist in breaking down skids and putting away raw materials
- Timely and correctly fill requisitions from stock/warehouse (food and non-food, dry and wet goods)
- Restock, move, and rotate stock within storage areas (refrigerated and non-refrigerated)
- Breakdown refuse containers for disposal
- Maintain clean storage areas daily, including cleaning spillage and breakage
- Assist with checking and auditing inventory when required
- Comply with all HACCP/GMP and proper food handling policies and procedures
- Pack racks and ovens when needed
- Keep all walk-ins organized and clean
- Ensure all purchase orders are completed correctly
Requirements
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of work experience
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience entering data into an ERP System
- Inventory and LIFO/FIFO knowledge
- Ability to work in refrigerated storage areas
- Strength to move stock on flat surfaces and up inclined ramps
- Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English
- Basic math skills (add, multiply, subtract, divide)
- Prior warehouse/storeroom experience
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of work experience, must have prior warehouse/storeroom experience
