About This Role

The Radiologic Technologist uses diagnostic imaging and ionizing radiation to perform radiographic procedures and assist licensed practitioners, ensuring patient well-being and accurate documentation within a faith-based healthcare organization.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain patient's clinical history and appropriate lab work, ensuring information is documented and available for use by a licensed practitioner
  • Position and immobilize patient to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest, respecting patient ability and comfort
  • Apply principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to patient, self, and others
  • Perform radiographic procedures by selecting and operating imaging equipment and/or associated accessories
  • Verify informed consent and complete pre and post procedure documentation
  • Assist licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized radiography procedures
  • Apply appropriate aseptic surgical technique as needed

Requirements

  • Certification and Registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
  • BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care)

Qualifications

  • Associates from an ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) accredited institute
  • 1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care

Nice to Have

  • Associates from an ARRT accredited institute
  • State Licensure
  • 1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care
  • Experience with Radiology Information System
