Deliver prescribed, planned courses of radiation therapy to patients of all ages, including simulation, mold room duties, treatment, and quality assurance. This role contributes to excellence in patient-focused, whole-person care at Providence St. Jude Medical Center.
Responsibilities
- Deliver accurately the prescribed, planned course of radiation therapy for patients of any age group
- Perform simulation and mold room duties
- Conduct radiation treatment procedures
- Execute quality assurance protocols related to radiation therapy
- Assist with dosimetry as requested by the Radiation Oncologist
- Provide nursing assistance as requested by the Radiation Oncologist
- Assess situations and exercise care, discretion, and judgment
- Assume responsibility for professional decisions
- Act in the best interest of the patient
Requirements
- Satisfactory completion of formal education program in radiation therapy or 1 year experience
- National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire
- California Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certification upon hire OR California Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certification upon hire
Qualifications
- Satisfactory completion of formal education program in radiation therapy or 1 year experience
- Entry level, or 1 year experience in radiation therapy
