Quality Technician

About This Role

As a Quality Technician, you will be an integral member of the Quality Assurance Team, responsible for inspecting in-process or finished products to ensure they meet Ball's internal quality specifications. You will advise production on results and contribute to the success of the company by upholding quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Follow all job safety practices and policies including food safety and personal protective equipment
• Perform troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on inspection equipment
• Routinely use measuring tools such as calliper gauges and micrometres
• Advise production when inspection results do not meet customer specifications
• Maintain a safe and clean workspace according to 5S standards
• Build positive relationships by effectively collaborating, communicating, and upholding ethical integrity

Requirements

• Minimum one (1) year of experience in a production/manufacturing role
• Experience maintaining production or quality control equipment
• Proficiency with computer applications (Microsoft: Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Strong attention to detail and experience reviewing and understanding graphs and trends
• Ability to match colors
• Demonstrated ability to provide clear and concise communication

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or education equivalent
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in a production/manufacturing role

Nice to Have

• 1+ years of experience as a Quality Technician in a manufacturing environment
• Experience working with depth gauges, dial callipers, and/or automated gauges
