The Quality Engineer will ensure product quality through advanced metrology techniques and continuous improvement initiatives for an advanced injection-molded plastic components manufacturer.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality assurance processes to meet industry standards
- Utilize advanced metrology equipment to ensure product specifications are met
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain detailed documentation of quality control procedures and results
- Support internal and external audits related to quality standards
- Train and mentor team members on quality processes and best practices
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of metrology and quality assurance principles
- Extensive PPAP/APQP experience
- Strong Experience with GD&T
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Experience with quality management systems and tools
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Qualifications
- A degree in engineering or a related technical field is a plus
