Quality Control Technician

About This Role

The 1st Shift Quality Control Technician tests and inspects products and materials at various stages of production. This role involves compiling and evaluating statistical data, maintaining records, and providing reports to ensure product quality and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Verify quantities and condition of all incoming material
• Inspect and test products and materials for compliance with Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
• Set up and perform destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics
• Record and analyze test data, applying statistical quality control procedures
• Maintain and document the integrity of equipment used in inspection, measuring and testing products
• Participate on multi-disciplinary teams for product quality planning
• Draft reports and correspondence
• Present information and respond to questions from customers and employees
• Use inspection, test, and measurement equipment

Requirements

• Proven experience as a quality control technician or similar role
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions
• Ability to use inspection, test, and measurement equipment
• Ability to use hand tools

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a quality control technician or similar role.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC)
• Knowledge of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
• Computer skills
• Gauge experience
