About This Role

Join the Public Safety team as a Dispatcher to ensure effective communication and response across the park, handling incoming calls, dispatching personnel, and monitoring alarm systems. This role is crucial for maintaining safety and security within the Six Flags park.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming phone calls and extract vital information from the caller regarding onsite security, safety, and EMS needs
  • Dispatch appropriate personnel based on unit's locations and call type
  • Monitor radio traffic on multiple channels and record pertinent information to input into a CAD system
  • Monitor fire and security alarm systems, as well as surveillance cameras
  • Communicate with outside emergency response agencies as needed

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Demonstrate excellent oral communication skills, including speaking clearly and distinctly
  • Able to simultaneously handle multiple tasks in an efficient manner
  • Good organizational and follow through skills
  • Ability to remain calm under stressful situations
  • Computer experience, including Office 365, and typing efficiently
  • Must be professional, self-motivated, and have an enthusiastic attitude
  • Must have strong teamwork skills and the ability to work with others

Nice to Have

  • Experience as a public safety dispatcher
  • Knowledge of Six Flags St. Louis
