PT Customer Service Representative

About This Role

This role involves providing exceptional customer service and administrative support at an animal clinic, handling client interactions, managing appointments, and assisting with medical emergencies to ensure smooth operations and high-quality pet care.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service in-person, over the phone, and during high-stress situations
• Manage lobby flow, address concerns, calm distressed owners, and schedule appointments
• Handle basic medical emergencies for pets and owners, ensuring safety and well-being
• Assist with medication pickups, inquiries, and provide information about services and products
• Input and manage data in practice management software, including billing and accounts
• Assist with retail sales, weighing pets, processing faxes, and maintaining records
• Reconcile cash drawer and perform end-of-day duties for accurate financial transactions

Requirements

• 1 year Veterinary reception experience
• Familiar with Cornerstone Practice Management Software
• Phone triage experience
• High school diploma or GED required, or equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience
• Knowledge of clerical procedures and ability to organize files and records
• Excellent customer service skills, providing courteous and prompt assistance
• Accurate cash handling and cashiering abilities
• Strong multitasking skills with attention to detail
• Flexibility in scheduling, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to work at a keyboard or workstation for extended periods
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, climbing, and lifting animals up to 50 pounds

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, or equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience
• 1 year veterinary reception experience

Nice to Have

• Pharmacy experience
