Project Manager (Water/Wastewater)

About This Role

Manage water/wastewater construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are built safely, on schedule, and within budget. This role involves client liaison, project planning, team leadership, and financial oversight.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and maintain liaison with prime client to facilitate construction activities
• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards
• Confer with project staff to outline work plan, assign duties and responsibilities
• Establish work plan and staffing for each phase of project
• Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure work progresses on schedule and within budget
• Review project proposals to determine timeframe, funding limitations, and staffing requirements
• Prepare project reports for management, client, or others
• Monitor and control construction through administrative direction of on-site Superintendent
• Manage financial aspects of contracts and responsible for project profit or loss
• Lead project team in daily field coordination meetings, weekly block schedule meetings, and monthly safety kickoff meetings
• Mentor and assist with career development of other team members
• Perform supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, training, and performance appraisal

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• 10+ years’ experience/knowledge of construction, design, finance, and management
• Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills
• Business oriented person
• Ability to assure responsibility, interface, and communicate effectively with others

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• 10+ years’ experience/knowledge of construction, design, finance, and management
