Lead Project Engineer

About This Role

Plan, develop, coordinate, and manage onsite construction engineering activities for heavy highway and bridge projects in Western PA or Morgantown. Ensure compliance with company and contract requirements and support the overall construction schedule.

Responsibilities

• Manage project engineering and related personnel functions and activities including administration and work assignments
• Ensure project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements
• Provide technical support for construction effort including planning, design interpretation, and resolution of conflicts
• Develop, implement, and administer project engineering procedures and work controlling documents
• Represent the company during A/E, client, and project management meetings
• Interface with all on-site departments to resolve problems and ensure quality of construction
• Oversee pre-construction services, design build services, and business development for the project

Requirements

• 5+ years of similar construction engineering experience
• Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, and standards
• In-depth understanding of interdependence and relationship between functional units
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage a team of varied disciplines

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred or equivalent technical training and related experience
• 5+ years of similar construction engineering experience

Nice to Have

• Bridge experience
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE)
