About This Role

This Project Engineer will be responsible for coordinating, planning, and executing capital projects and commercialization initiatives within Richelieu Foods' manufacturing facilities. The role involves collaborating with various departments to improve safety, eliminate foreign materials, and enhance waste control and reuse.

Responsibilities

  • Drive a safety culture, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA, USDA, building/fire codes).
  • Perform day-to-day duties within the assigned facility.
  • Manage basic budget projects under leadership guidance.
  • Own facility and capital projects from development to execution.
  • Develop project scopes and detailed project plans.
  • Manage schedules, costs, and other key deliverables according to approved project plans.
  • Identify, assess, and communicate project risks.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
  • Coordinate with internal resources and third parties/vendors for project execution.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered safely, on time, within scope, and budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical preferred)
  • 5+ years of related work experience
  • Experience with AutoCAD
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to travel to all Richelieu Foods, Inc. sites

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of related work experience in engineering.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in food manufacturing or consumer goods industry
  • Experience working in a combustible dust environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
