Project Engineer

About This Role

The Project Engineer assists the Project Manager/Executive by tracking and maintaining essential project records, including submittals, costs, deliveries, and payroll. This role is crucial for ensuring safety compliance and accurate documentation on job sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and give weekly Toolbox Talks and Daily Safety Huddles, maintaining all related records.
• Maintain a retrievable filing system for the Hazardous Communication Program - MSDS and the Project Safety Manual.
• Perform daily quantity reviews with the Superintendent and Job Foreman, entering data into the system.
• Track completion of work on project plans and perform monthly reviews of estimates.
• Maintain general correspondence, Shop Drawing, Subcontractor Daily, and Delivery logs.
• Enter daily payroll information by specific task and assist in productivity tracking.
• Maintain and update the Request for Information (RFI) to the owner.
• Assist in the purchase of job materials and monitor quality control to meet specifications and standards.
• Develop project look-ahead schedules and review project specifications for submittal packages.
• Track all subcontractors and submit copies of the Subcontractor Daily Log to Payroll monthly.

Requirements

• B.S. Degree in Engineering
• 2-3 years related experience in Heavy Construction (site-work, roads or environmental)
• Capable of meeting deadlines, self-motivated, detail oriented
• Excellent interpersonal skills and follow-through capability
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment

• B.S. Degree in Engineering
• 2 to 3 years of related experience in Heavy Construction (site-work, roads or environmental).
