About This Role

This Project Engineer role is essential for managing construction projects from inception to completion, working with project managers and team members to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery to high-quality standards in the mechanical construction industry.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of construction projects from beginning to end
  • Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients and other staff members
  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other team members to ensure project success
  • Utilize RFI Process, RFP, Submittals, and change orders to manage project activities
  • Prepare, maintain, and update project schedules to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Perform quality control tasks to ensure the project meets the set standards and specifications
  • Manage the construction management process, ensuring all aspects are running smoothly and efficiently
  • Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the project, providing effective solutions to keep the project on track
  • Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders, keeping them informed of the project status

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a Project Engineer or Field Engineer in the Construction industry
  • Proven experience with RFI Process, RFP, Submittals, change orders, and preparation and maintenance of project schedule
  • Solid knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods
  • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards
  • Competent in conflict and crisis management
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in relevant software such as AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Project Engineer or Field Engineer in the Construction industry.
