Project Engineer - Highway

About This Role

Join a team of multidisciplinary engineers to lead the development of transportation project plans for public infrastructure projects, focusing on roadway engineering analysis and design.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team of multidisciplinary engineers
• Lead the development of transportation project plans for public infrastructure projects
• Manage and mentor staff while serving as a task lead
• Assemble a complete design package or assigned portions of a larger project
• Perform quality control reviews
• Attend and lead meetings with public and/or private clients
• Represent MJ at industry and professional society events

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
• PE Required
• 5-10 years of progressive roadway engineering analysis and design experience
• Project experience with State DOT's
• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 software such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bentley OpenRoads Designer
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organization and attention to detail
• Ability to effectively participate as part of a project team, develop and maintain client relations, and meet project demands and schedules

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
• 5-10 years of progressive roadway engineering analysis and design experience

• Experience with proposal writing, scope of work development, and budgeting
