Project Engineer

About This Role

Join our team as a Project Engineer/APM to manage vertical construction projects for high-profile medical and commercial clients. This role involves understanding budgets, schedules, and contracts, while utilizing current technology to ensure project success.

Responsibilities

• Develop a working understanding of budgets, schedules, cost accounting, invoices, contracts, change orders, and other management tools
• Communicate effectively with all internal and external customers
• Read and understand engineering drawings, purchase orders, contracts, and cost coding systems
• Utilize current technology effectively
• Engage in entire job cycle on selected small projects under supervision
• Obtain all required project permits and ensure they are saved in the appropriate project file before forwarding to the field
• Generate and process RFIs and submittals
• Assist Superintendents and APMs with updating and maintaining project schedules
• Ensure monthly schedule updates are performed against the baseline schedule and saved in the appropriate project files

Requirements

• 3+ years experience as Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager in vertical construction
• Strong computer skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in generating and processing RFIs and submittals
• Ability to read blueprints

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience as a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager in vertical construction

Nice to Have

• Experience in healthcare technology, including MRI's and accelerators
