Production Supervisor

About This Role

This Production Supervisor role is responsible for ensuring all procedures are followed to achieve the highest level of productivity and cost-efficiency while maintaining customer specifications. The supervisor will train and manage employees, promote safety, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts in the production area.

Responsibilities

• Train and provide an environment for employees to achieve their maximum quality and productivity performance
• Plan and schedule manpower, materials, product, and machines for efficient utilization
• Implement departmental policies and procedures fairly and equitably to maintain standards for safety, quality, and personnel satisfaction
• Manage employee performance, providing positive and/or corrective feedback
• Promote department and company goodwill through pro-active employee communication and involvement
• Investigate areas of quality improvement, cost reduction, method improvement, yield control, and equipment maintenance
• Promote safety throughout the crew's working area

Requirements

• 1+ years of previous Supervisory experience
• Previous leadership skills with 20 or more employees
• Effective communication both orally and in writing
• Capable of independent decision making
• Basic computer knowledge
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to work assigned hours/days, including occasional weekends
• Must be willing to work 2nd shift

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; College Degree in related field preferred
• 1 or more years of previous Supervisory experience; previous leadership skills with 20 or more employees

Nice to Have

• Poultry or food industry experience
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
