Production Lead

About This Role

Lead and support packaging operations, ensuring productivity, quality, and safety for a rapidly growing CPG brand. This role involves supervising staff, performing quality control, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Support packaging operations during startup, running, change-over, cleaning, and end-of-shift activities
• Perform in-process quality control checks during packaging runs
• Review daily paperwork for accurate and timely processing
• Audit staff to ensure accuracy in packaging processes
• Order and commit correct packaging per the Room’s Work Order through ERP (Fish Bowl)
• Notify shift supervisor of mechanical or other issues
• Review and assist in creating shift pass-down reports
• Update production boards hourly
• Champion GMP compliance and ensure product quality & food safety
• Train new hires on packaging processes

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to perform basic math for conversion of units of measure
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to read and analyze information
• Excellent time management
• Knowledge of inventory control
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and navigate a fast-moving environment
• Flexible, willing, and quick to learn new processes, technology, and ways of thinking

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Nice to Have

• Prior lead or supervisory experience
• Experience and desire to support a collaborative culture
• Familiarity with ERP or WMS systems
• Process improvement mindset
