Production Lead

About This Role

Lead a production team on the 3rd shift to produce quality products while maintaining compliance with safety guidelines and food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cup line operations including equipment, washouts, CIPs, and product/package changeovers
• Supervise a team and collaborate with the Packaging Team Lead
• Identify, communicate, and resolve quality issues
• Lead and guide the team under direction of the Team Leader
• Maintain quality standards throughout production
• Ensure team adherence to General Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), safety rules, and plant rules
• Assist with overseeing product reception from processing, packaging, and transfer to warehouse for quality, shippable, finished product
• Ensure compliance with corporate standards for food safety, food safety culture, quality, and facility cleanliness

Requirements

• Knowledge of cup line operations (including operation of equipment, washouts, CIPs, product changeovers, package changeovers)
• Ability to oversee a team and work closely with Packaging Team Lead
• Ability to identify, communicate and resolve quality issues
• Ability to lead courageously under the directive of the Team Leader
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of Team Members
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
