Product Engineering Cloud Architect

About This Role

This role will lead the definition and design of robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure solutions for Deloitte's digital products, focusing on Azure cloud architecture and embedding security controls. The Cloud Architect will also evangelize a Cloud-first strategy for software development teams and manage cloud infrastructure costs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the definition and design of robust, scalable, high-performance, and secure network infrastructure solutions.
• Partner with Cyber and Security teams to embed security controls within all infrastructure designs.
• Develop proof-of-concepts for innovative ideas and infrastructure advancements.
• Design security at network and identity levels, ensuring secure access controls and authentication.
• Provide technical support for analysis of business requirements against platform capabilities.
• Participate in E2E functionality assessment during Validation Testing phases (SIT, UAT).
• Manage cloud infrastructure costs, budgets, and cost forecasting.
• Drive recommendations for business prioritization, roadmaps, and product improvements.
• Design efficient, secure, adaptable, scalable, and reliable cloud solutions using Azure infrastructure and platform services.
• Lead project deliverables across multiple workstreams with high quality and engineering discipline.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or equivalent
• Minimum 6 years experience with OOD, UML, stateless distributed architectures, scalability and performance design (.Net, HTML5/CSS3, WCF)
• 5+ years experience with Azure designing and delivering high-volume, highly scalable solutions
• Minimum 1 year leadership/management experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or equivalent educational or professional experience and/or qualifications.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience within Object-Oriented Design (OOD), Unified Modeling Language (UML), stateless distributed architectures, and designing for scalability and performance, especially within, .Net, HTML5/CSS3, and WCF technologies. 5+ years of experience with Azure with a proven record of designing and delivering high-volume, highly scalable, and performant solutions on large-scale globally distributed systems. Minimum 1 year leadership/management experience.

Nice to Have

• 5+ years of experience with AWS or other cloud providers
• Prior experience and exposure to BI Tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Qliksense) and DI Tools (Informatica)
• Prior experience with PaaS services, leading practices, and adoption patterns
• Prior experience with IaaS (Microsoft SQL Server and database administration like Always On)
• Prior experience with networking, firewalls, load-balancers in Azure and on-premise
• Prior experience analyzing and manipulating data on Excel or similar tools
• Prior experience of cost management on Azure or any CSP, and cost saving techniques
• Prior experience with messaging architectures SOAP and REST with JSON text encoding
• Prior experience with Microsoft SQL Server and other common backend Microsoft technologies
• Prior experience building sustainable relationships
• Prior experience automating provisioning and automation of architectures (Infrastructure-as-Code)
• Prior experience and understanding of event-driven and delegate-based design paradigms
• Prior experience in data modeling techniques and knowledge of various normal forms
• Prior experience in developing IT architecture plans and software development methodologies.
