Join the Retail Shopping team at Uber Eats to transform the product from food delivery to offering a wider range of local merchant goods. This role involves tackling complex product challenges and crafting delightful user experiences for global users.
Responsibilities
- Learn Uber's design collaboration methods, tools, and design system, focusing on clarity, inclusion, accessibility, scalability, and global localization.
- Understand the product area, business goals, existing tech platforms, and product development processes by meeting cross-functional stakeholders.
- Lead projects of varying complexity, from well-defined problems to conceptual challenges, while managing a product roadmap.
- Deeply understand users through data and research, lead the end-to-end design process, and incorporate expert feedback.
- Translate designs for engineers, working flexibly with different teams, and creating innovative, scalable and effective features.
- Document design frameworks for others to build upon, considering business, data, and engineering requirements.
- Prioritize and manage time efficiently, work autonomously, handle concurrent projects, and collaborate effectively.
- Communicate clearly and persuasively, present work and rationale to stakeholders, and facilitate design sessions.
- Lead team activities, support internal Design team improvements, and share skills and learnings with team members.
Requirements
- 3+ years of Product Design experience
- Experience building products for mobile apps
- Proficiency with Figma or similar tools and prototyping methods
- A portfolio showing high-quality, thoughtful UI and UX work
Qualifications
- 3+ years of Product Design experience
Nice to Have
- Experience working with user experience researchers and various methods of research
- Experience working and collaborating in a tech environment
- Shipped many successful software products (mobile and desktop)
- Highly proficient in storytelling and prototyping
- Ability to strongly articulate design work and rationale
- Experience designing with large-scale design systems and frameworks
