As a Product Designer (Partner 14) at Andreessen Horowitz's Applied Software Group, you will build software to help the firm discover, evaluate, and support ambitious founders. This role requires designing products for investment diligence, network building, process management, and AI-powered workflows.
Responsibilities
- Design products that support investment discovery and diligence
- Design products for network building and process management
- Design AI-powered workflows
- Work closely with engineers and other designers
- Contribute across the product lifecycle from early exploration to polished UI and iteration
- Prototype concepts in Figma or other tools to communicate interactions, flows, and design intent
- Collaborate closely with engineers and ensure high-quality execution
- Contribute to and evolve the design system
- Participate in user research and incorporate feedback into work
- Communicate clearly about design decisions and how they support product goals
Requirements
- 2+ years of product design experience shipping digital products
- Strong portfolio demonstrating thoughtful UX, systems thinking, and polished visual design
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment with exposure to end-to-end product development
- Fluency in Figma and comfort building detailed, scalable components
- Ability to context switch and contribute across multiple projects
- Strong customer empathy and sensitivity to how features impact users and stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Comfort operating in ambiguous, evolving problem spaces
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Low ego, high curiosity, and a collaborative, team-first mindset
Qualifications
