Process Engineer

About This Role

This is a hands-on chemical process engineering role for someone who wants to design, build, and see real systems operate in manufacturing environments. You'll be involved across the full project lifecycle, from early concept and design through implementation, commissioning, and startup. The role offers technical depth, variety, and the opportunity to see your work move from drawings into real-world operation.

Responsibilities

• Designing and supporting process systems used in manufacturing and production environments
• Developing process flow diagrams and detailed P&IDs that support system design and execution
• Performing core chemical engineering calculations including heat and mass transfer, fluid flow, pressure drop, and energy balances
• Selecting, sizing, and specifying process equipment, utilities, and supporting systems
• Creating layouts, schematics, and installation documentation to support implementation
• Supporting procurement activities by preparing technical requirements and evaluating vendor proposals
• Analyzing system performance, throughput, timing, and utility usage to support efficient operation
• Collaborating cross-functionally with controls, mechanical, and project engineering teams
• Supporting system installation, commissioning, and startup activities
• Providing technical support throughout the lifecycle of deployed systems

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
• Five or more years of experience in chemical or process engineering
• Strong foundation in chemical engineering fundamentals including fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and heat and mass transfer
• Comfort working in manufacturing or process-driven environments
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams and customers

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
• Five or more years of experience in chemical or process engineering

Nice to Have

• Experience in food, beverage, or related process manufacturing
