Prestige Beauty Advisor

About This Role

The Prestige Beauty Advisor maximizes sales in the prestige beauty category (color cosmetics, skincare, fragrance) by engaging guests to determine their needs and assisting in merchandise selection and purchase, while maintaining store standards and supporting sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding store goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, retail shrink, and omni-channel sales with a focus on prestige category
• Provide exceptional guest service by greeting and engaging every guest, personalizing service, and recommending products/services
• Courteously handle sales, refunds, and exchanges
• Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales
• Book appointments for and support the execution of services and in-store events
• Stay informed regarding new and existing industry trends, products, and services
• Contribute to an inclusive environment that supports teammates, peers, and guests
• Regularly participate in ongoing training, including prestige and iconic brand product training
• Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, and standards
• Drive sales by keeping prestige and iconic brand work area replenished, signed, faced, and ensuring testers are maintained
• Maintain outstanding store operational standards, including cleanliness of all areas
• Participate in completing merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, physical inventory, and processing shipment
• Share the benefits of the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app, with guests
• Protect company assets by following loss prevention best practices and providing exceptional guest service

Requirements

• Passion and significant competency for prestige product, guest service, and selling
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications

• High school diploma is preferred
• 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
