Prestige Beauty Advisor

About This Role

Maximize sales in the prestige beauty category by engaging guests to understand their needs and assisting them in selecting and purchasing merchandise. Maintain high store standards through cleanliness and replenishment, and support the Sales Manager in driving performance, guest service, and operational compliance.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store’s goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, retail shrink, and omni-channel sales, focusing on the prestige category.
• Deliver exceptional guest service by greeting and engaging guests, personalizing service, recommending complementary products/services, and informing about promotions/events.
• Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously.
• Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and enhance guest experience.
• Book appointments for and support the execution of services and in-store events.
• Stay informed about new and existing industry trends, products, and services, becoming knowledgeable about their ingredients and benefits.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
• Contribute to an inclusive environment for teammates and guests.
• Collaborate with managers and associates to grow the business.
• Participate in ongoing training for prestige and iconic brand products and general beauty education.
• Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, and standards.
• Adhere to Ulta Beauty’s dress code.
• Drive sales by keeping prestige and iconic brand work areas replenished, signed, faced, and ensuring testers are hygienic.
• Maintain outstanding store operational standards including cleanliness of salesfloor, restrooms, cashwrap, backroom, and break area.
• Participate in merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, physical inventory, and processing shipment.
• Share benefits of the guest loyalty program, credit, and the Ulta Beauty app with guests.
• Protect company assets by following loss prevention best practices and providing exceptional guest service.
• Execute other operational tasks as directed.

Requirements

• Passion and significant competency for prestige product, guest service, and selling
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills

Qualifications

• 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred
