Prestige Beauty Advisor

About This Role

This role involves maximizing sales in the prestige beauty category (color cosmetics, skincare, and fragrance) by engaging guests, determining their needs, and assisting in merchandise selection and purchase. The Prestige Beauty Advisor will maintain store standards and support the Sales Manager by focusing on performance, guest service, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store’s goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, retail shrink, and omni-channel sales, focusing on the prestige category
• Ensure exceptional guest service by greeting, engaging, personalizing service, recommending products/services, and informing guests of promotions
• Courteously handle sales, refunds, and exchanges
• Routinely perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and guest experience
• Book appointments for and support the execution of services and in-store events, delivering on prestige and iconic brand sales goals
• Stay informed regarding new and existing industry trends, products, and services, and communicate knowledge to guests
• Contribute to an inclusive environment that supports teammates, peers, and guests
• Collaborate with managers and associates to grow the business
• Regularly participate in ongoing training, including prestige and iconic brand product training and category education
• Be knowledgeable of and ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, and standards
• Drive sales by keeping prestige and iconic brand work area replenished, signed, faced, and ensuring testers are maintained hygienically
• Maintain outstanding store operational standards, including cleanliness of salesfloor, restrooms, cashwrap, backroom, break area, and makeover stations
• Participate in completing merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, physical inventory procedures, and processing shipment
• Share the benefits of the guest loyalty program, credit, and the Ulta Beauty app with guests
• Protect company assets by following loss prevention best practices and providing exceptional guest service

Requirements

• Passion and significant competency for prestige product, guest service, and selling
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications

• High school diploma is preferred
• 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred
