The Associate Director of Portfolio Administration will champion the Alter Domus brand, provide strategic direction, and manage client deliverables within the CLO Middle Office. This role focuses on ensuring superior service, managing the team's P&L, and actively developing team members' careers.
Responsibilities
- Champion Alter Domus brand, ensuring superior service is consistently delivered.
- Provide strategic direction of business unit and initiatives.
- Manage P&L of team and ensure efficient use of headcount.
- Take full ownership of client deliverables and delegate duties while ensuring team members' ownership.
- Perform active relationship management role and resolve client issues objectively.
- Coach, mentor, and support team members through all aspects of assignments.
- Ensure appropriate and consistent training and development of staff.
- Lead, develop and mentor career paths of team members.
- Proactively expand client relationships by recognizing needs and understanding Alter Domus services.
- Ensure exceptions are cleared and procedures and regulations are followed.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in business or finance.
- Basic knowledge of loan operations or loan securitization with some product knowledge or customer service.
- Ability to independently research and resolve problems.
- Responsive, friendly, professional, highly organized, and superb communication skills.
- Solid Microsoft Excel experience.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to thrive in a high-volume data entry environment.
- Willingness to work within a deadline-driven environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or economics preferred.
- 5+ years of professional experience within a business or finance related capacity.
Nice to Have
- Experience in direct management and training of team members.
- Knowledge or familiarity with Bloomberg, performance systems, and other loan research and analysis tools.
