Plumbing Service Technician

About This Role

Join a national service leader as a Plumbing Service Technician, providing excellent customer service, diagnosing plumbing issues, and installing/repairing plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide a description of diagnosed problems to customers and offer solutions
• Explain features and benefits of solutions and obtain agreement before performing work
• Diagnose plumbing issues quickly and thoroughly
• Confidently present multiple repair or replacement options using established processes
• Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners
• Install and repair water heaters, faucets, toilets, tubs, sinks, garbage disposals, gas lines, and piping systems (DWV, copper, PEX, etc.)
• Maintain clean, code-compliant workmanship
• Use field management software to build estimates and document work
• Maintain and fuel vehicle, stock the service truck with adequate parts and maintain machinery
• Transport materials and tools to the job site and provide proper accounting of tools

Requirements

• 2-4 years of residential service plumbing experience
• Strong communications/interpersonal skills
• Confidence presenting options
• Ability to follow systems, processes, and checklists
• Ability to lift equipment and work in tight areas
• Customer-first mindset and team-player attitude
• Willingness and ability to work evenings and weekends
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen

Qualifications

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred. Related experience and/or advanced training or any equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
• 2-4 years of residential service plumbing experience
