About This Role

Provide direct patient care including diagnosis and treatment of various diseases and injuries, ensuring quality, comprehensive patient-centered care as part of a medical home team.

Responsibilities

• Elicit and record information about patient's medical history utilizing the established electronic medical record software system
• Order, oversee, and interpret various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images
• Make diagnosis and prescribe care, treatment, and medications for patient condition
• Perform specific minor outpatient surgeries and procedures
• Document patient charts in a timely and appropriate manner
• Adhere to all established quality protocols
• Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioner for specialized treatment
• Advise patients concerning diet, hygiene, lifestyle modification, and methods for prevention of disease
• Hospitalize and treat patients in local hospitals, if required
• Supervise clinical components at site

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of techniques and skills used in examination, diagnosis, and treatment of physically ill patients
• Extensive knowledge of recent developments in the field of medicine
• Ability to perform physical tasks required in the examination and treatment of patients
• Ability to establish and maintain satisfactory working relationships with patients, other professional employees, and the general public

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved school of medicine and internship AND completion of an approved residency program and eligible for board certification.
