Physical Therapy Assistant

About This Role

The Physical Therapy Assistant I provides prescribed physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, aiming to restore and enhance patient performance. This role involves implementing care plans and ensuring proper documentation.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive physical therapy treatment and related follow-up services.
• Trains and educates patients, family members, and others on treatment plans and goals.
• Provides physical therapy, including selection and use of assistive equipment.
• Reports patient progress and collaborates with the evaluating therapist for care plan implementation.
• Documents and submits patient reports and charges within established timeframes.
• Collaborates with patients and other healthcare personnel regarding coordination of care.
• Supervises Rehab Techs.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree accredited physical therapy assistant program
• Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree accredited physical therapy assistant program
• No prior physical therapy experience required, 1 year preferred.

Nice to Have

• 1 year of Physical Therapy Experience
