About This Role

This Physical Therapist Assistant role involves delivering physical therapy services to patients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, focusing on high-quality care and positive engagement. Responsibilities also include implementing treatment plans, managing patient cases, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Physical Therapy and related services to patients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT)
  • Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising PT
  • Supervise Rehab Technicians as applicable
  • Manage patient cases effectively
  • Maintain a professional demeanor reflecting dedication to excellence
  • Comply with all applicable state and federal regulations governing physical therapy practice
  • Support patients in improving functional abilities and skills
  • Contribute to the development and sustainability of a robust physical therapy program
  • Advance clinical, professional, and leadership skills through collaboration, self-directed learning, and continuing education
  • Maintain a current and valid state license and stay informed on developments in physical therapy and healthcare
  • Understand and apply appropriate billing practices and treatment delivery models
  • Follow infection control and environmental safety protocols within the facility
  • Demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English for effective communication and documentation
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with state practice act

Requirements

  • Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program
  • Valid Physical Therapy Assistant state license
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
