Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

About This Role

This role is responsible for optimizing patients' physical abilities by implementing treatment plans, accurately documenting progress, and collaborating with families and staff to achieve rehabilitation goals.

Responsibilities

• Optimize physical abilities and skills of patients by assisting in screening protocols
• Implement treatment for all assigned patients
• Deliver treatment to achieve identified objectives according to the established treatment plan
• Accurately document progress toward objectives, communicating patient status and needs to the patient and their family
• Expand and enhance clinical expertise, professional and management skills through interaction with managers, professional staff, and continuing education
• Maintain valid state license/registration/certification
• Submit billing, payroll, and expense documentation accurately and timely
• Assist in collection of statistics and updating records
• Inform appropriate staff and managers of patient progress and facility issues
• Contribute to facility rehab goals and plans
• Comply with infection control procedures and environmental safety protocol within a facility

Requirements

• Valid Pennsylvania state license
• Graduate of an APTA approved school for Physical Therapy
