This role involves assisting physical therapists in evaluating clients' daily living skills and capacities, as well as providing support to patients through all phases of physical therapy treatments. The Physical Therapist Assistant will observe patients, report observations to the Physical Therapist, and communicate with the healthcare team to coordinate treatment programs.
Responsibilities
- Assist in evaluation of client's daily living skills and capacities to determine extent of abilities and limitations
- Assist patients with all phases of physical therapy treatment and techniques including exercise Instruction, manual therapy techniques, activities of daily living, and Isokinetic program
- Observe patients during treatments and report observations to Physical Therapist
- Communicate with staff and other health team members, to exchange, discuss, and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment programs
Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant Licensure to practice
