Physical Therapist Assistant

About This Role

This role is for a compassionate and driven licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to provide exceptional patient care in an outpatient setting, utilizing evidence-based treatments and manual therapy techniques to maximize functionality for a diverse patient mix from pediatric to geriatric.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient care to patients of all ages and abilities
• Implement high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities under the direction of a licensed physical therapist
• Assist the Physical Therapist in carrying out prescribed treatment programs
• Develop treatment plans
• Supervise assistants and aides
• Contribute to case management
• Maintain a positive level of interaction with facilities and clients

Requirements

• Valid state license, registration or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant
• Passed a national examination for Physical Therapist Assistants certified by the CAPTE
• CPR certification

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved curriculum for Physical Therapist Assistants

Nice to Have

• Outpatient clinical rotation (if current student)
• Outpatient experience in the last 3 years (if not a student)
