Physical Therapist Assistant

About This Role

Assist in evaluating clients' daily living skills and capacities for physical therapy treatment. Help patients overcome physical limitations and restore their quality of life through guided exercises and manual therapy techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluating clients’ daily living skills and capacities to determine the extent of abilities and limitations
• Assist patients with all phases of physical therapy treatment, including exercise instruction, manual therapy techniques, and activities of daily living
• Observe patients during treatments and report observations to the Physical Therapist
• Communicate with staff and other healthcare team members to exchange, discuss, and evaluate patient information for treatment planning and modifications

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
• Unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant Licensure to practice in NY State
• CPR certification
• First aid certification

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
• Entry level Physical Therapist Assistant, recent graduates and experienced candidates encouraged to apply
