Contribute to physical therapist effectiveness by assisting with patient care, therapeutic procedures, and patient education. Maintain a safe and clean environment while adhering to legal and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities
- Identify patient care issues and recommend courses of action
- Assess patient health by interviewing, performing physical examinations, and updating therapy histories
- Review physical therapist's interpretations of patient evaluations and test results
- Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records
- Administer manual exercises and assist patients in performing physical activities
- Instruct and counsel patients on therapeutic regimens and promote wellness
- Develop and implement patient management plans for continuity of care
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, complying with regulations and infection-control policies
- Monitor physical therapy services rendered against production objectives and current treatment trends
- Adhere to policy positions concerning federal, state, and local regulations, and JCAHO standards
Requirements
- Physical Therapist Assistant Certification
- Registered NPI Number
- Ability to Work Full-Time and Extended Hours
