Angels of Care Pediatric Home Health is seeking a full- or part-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to implement treatment plans for pediatric patients with various disabilities, assisting them to regain function and improve independence within their homes and communities. This role involves planning and administering physical therapy services, educating caregivers, and maintaining patient documentation.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality care by performing evaluations, interpreting assessment results, and developing appropriate goals and treatment plans in conjunction with the physician.
- Assist pediatric patients in developing or regaining physical, neurological, cognitive, and social/emotional functioning to maximize their potential independence.
- Educate, coach, and empower caregivers and families to carry over therapeutic activities into the child's daily routine.
- Coordinate with referral partners to provide services in accordance with physician orders and IFSPs.
- Design and instruct patients, families, and caregivers in home exercise programs to assure continuation of the therapeutic plan following discharge.
- Document patient care services and care coordination using an electronic medical record system.
- Maintain patient confidence by keeping all information confidential.
Requirements
- Texas State PTA License
- Current CPR certification
Qualifications
- A minimum of 1 year of experience is preferred.
