About This Role

Collect and process specimens, including drug screens and biometric screenings, while meticulously documenting information and maintaining logs. This role requires precision in specimen collection and data entry, supporting patient diagnostics.

Responsibilities

  • Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screenings, and insurance exams
  • Administer oral solutions according to established training
  • Research test/client information and confirm/verify all written and electronic orders using lab technology systems, client contact, and approved tools
  • Accurately enter data into computer systems
  • Obtain identification and accurately enter billing information and collect payments, following corporate policies
  • Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport
  • Perform non-patient facing duties such as inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, and utilizing email
  • Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures
  • Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data when required
  • Maintain all appropriate phlebotomy logs in a timely manner, including maintenance and temperature logs
  • Complete online and in-person training courses timely

Requirements

  • Three years phlebotomy experience, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
  • Keyboard/data entry experience
  • Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record (if applicable)
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three years phlebotomy experience inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections

Nice to Have

  • Medical assistant training
  • Paramedic training
  • Phlebotomy certification (preferred in general)
