Provide pharmaceutical care to patients at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, a Level II Trauma Center in Boise, Idaho, ensuring safe and cost-effective product preparation and patient education.
Responsibilities
- Carry out operational and clinical responsibilities, including tele pharmacy order verification to 3 other hospitals
- Prepare pharmaceutical products for patients' use by safe and cost-effective methods using acceptable professional standards
- Comprehend and support quality assurance and risk management issues
- Review patient history incorporating various pharmacy activities providing customers with adequate education for optimum outcomes
- Participate in various departmental duties, material resource management, clerical and financial responsibilities, safety, and other issues
- Supervise technicians and pharmacy support staff
Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
- Licensed as a Pharmacist with the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy
- Basic Life Support certification within 6 months of hire
Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required
- Six months of experience preferred.
