About This Role

The Personal Lines Account Manager is responsible for providing exceptional client service and communication, managing administrative processes for insurance policies, and ensuring clients' assets are protected. This role involves maintaining existing accounts, collaborating with underwriters, and mentoring team members.

Responsibilities

  • Manage client service and communication, ensuring excellence in every interaction
  • Oversee administrative processes for client insurance policies, including renewals, remarkets, invoicing, and reporting
  • Handle proposals, AORs, cancellations, and policy reviews
  • Manage incoming correspondence and facilitate effective team communication
  • Delegate work to Account Associates and mentor and train team members
  • Maintain records, review and bind renewals, remarket, quote, and bind additional lines of business
  • Ensure clients' assets are protected through comprehensive insurance products and eliminate coverage gaps
  • Work with underwriters to find creative solutions for customer needs
  • Track expiration, past due renewals, and A/R reports to ensure timely servicing
  • Create and distribute client invoicing for new business, renewals, and premium-bearing endorsements; collect outstanding balances
  • Facilitate client claims processes as needed
  • Monitor performance to ensure productivity, efficiency, quality, and service standards are met
  • Maintain transparent communication with supervisor regarding obstacles and performance expectations
  • Collaborate with commercial sales personnel to develop solutions for mutual clients

Requirements

  • 5+ years of industry experience
  • State required active licensing (2-20 or 20-44)
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Strong multi-tasking, organizational, delegation, and decision-making skills
  • High accuracy in handling large work volumes
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Qualifications

  • High School diploma (or equivalent)
  • 5+ years of industry experience

  • Experience quoting and binding Personal Lines Policies
