About This Role

This role involves overseeing client service and communication for personal lines insurance policies, managing administrative processes like renewals and invoicing, and collaborating with underwriters and sales teams. The Account Manager will also mentor and train team members.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain book of business, including reviewing and binding renewals, remarketing, quoting, and binding additional lines of business
  • Ensure client assets are protected through comprehensive insurance products and identify coverage gaps
  • Collaborate with underwriters to develop creative solutions for customer needs
  • Monitor expiration, past due renewals, and A/R reports to ensure timely servicing
  • Create and distribute client invoicing for new business, renewals, and premium-bearing endorsements, and collect outstanding balances
  • Facilitate client claims processes as needed
  • Monitor individual performance to ensure productivity, efficiency, quality, and service standards are met
  • Maintain transparent communication with supervisor regarding obstacles and performance expectations, and implement performance coaching
  • Work with commercial sales personnel to develop solutions for mutual clients
  • Champion IOA core values and demonstrate integrity and leadership

Requirements

  • 5+ years of industry experience
  • Active state required licensing (2-20 or 20-44)
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Strong multi-tasking, organizational, delegation, and decision-making skills
  • High accuracy in handling large work volumes
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Qualifications

  • High School diploma (or equivalent)
  • 5+ years of industry experience
