The Personal Care Attendant supports residents' physical and emotional well-being by assisting with activities of daily living in a home-like environment. This role has a direct impact on residents' lives by helping them feel safe, comfortable, and respected, working as part of an interdisciplinary care team.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
- Provide compassionate physical and emotional support while preserving resident dignity
- Monitor resident safety and observe for signs of distress or changes in condition
- Accurately document resident care, activities, and changes as required
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff and fellow caregivers regarding resident needs
- Engage residents in activities that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being
- Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and company policies
- Support a clean, safe, and welcoming living environment
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
Nice to Have
- CPR certification
- BLS certification
