The Performance Marketing Analyst at USAA will enhance the digital experience by focusing on paid media optimization to drive efficiency and growth. This role involves leveraging advanced marketing analytics to deliver impactful insights and scalable frameworks to inform data-driven strategies.
Responsibilities
- Leverage business, analytical, and technical knowledge to collaborate on business objectives and influence solution strategies with cross-functional teams
- Apply advanced analytical techniques to solve medium to large scale business problems impacting current or future business strategy
- Apply innovative and scientific/quantitative analytical approaches to draw conclusions and make 'insight to action' recommendations
- Translate recommendations into communication materials for presentation to colleagues and management
- Incorporate visualization techniques to support analysis points for less technical audiences
- Identify and gather relevant and quality data sources for problem-solving and strategy recommendations
- Integrate/transform disparate data sources and determine appropriate data hygiene techniques
- Document assumptions, methodology, validation, and testing to facilitate peer reviews and compliance
- Understand and adopt emerging technology affecting scientific methodologies and quantitative analytical approaches
- Deliver analysis/findings to influence management, gain support for recommendations, drive business decisions, and influence business strategy
- Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative analytics field OR 4 years of related experience in statistics, mathematics or quantitative analytics
- 4 years of experience in data/analytics or functional business experience within the respective industry
- Competency in mathematical and statistical techniques and approaches
- Intermediate and some advanced knowledge of data analysis tools, data visualization, developing analysis queries and procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in quantitative analytics field such as Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, Operations Research, Data and/or Business Analysis, Data Science or other quantitative discipline
- 4 years of experience in data/analytics or functional business experience within the respective industry of responsibility (e.g., P&C, Bank, Finance); OR Advanced degree with 2 years experience.
Nice to Have
- 2+ years experience in paid media analytics and in-platform experience
- Experience with Web Analytics Tools: Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics
- Experience with Tagging: Tealium, GTM
- Journey analysis (mining clickstream & behavioral data)
- SQL required
- Python knowledge
- Predictive modeling experience
