Per Diem Physical Therapist

About This Role

This role involves evaluating and treating patients with disabilities, injuries, and diseases using various physical means. The physical therapist will also maintain detailed medical records and participate in quality improvement activities.

Responsibilities

• Administer direct patient care in accordance with physician prescriptions
• Utilize appropriate evaluation techniques with efficiency and thoroughness
• Design treatment programs to achieve established goals
• Make accurate observations of patient tolerance and/or status during treatment
• Modify treatment programs as needed
• Respond appropriately to established department emergency procedures for patient safety and care
• Submit required documentation in accordance with department policies and procedures
• Participate in quality improvement chart reviews and activities
• Attend family meetings/conferences and interact with inter-disciplinary staff

Requirements

• Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy or equivalent
• Current License to practice as a Physical Therapist in New York State
• 0-3 years of relevant experience

Qualifications

• Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy or equivalent combination of education and related experience
• 0-3 years of relevant experience
