Peer Recovery Specialist

About This Role

This role involves providing human support work, assessing client needs, and facilitating access to appropriate services for individuals. The specialist will also provide case monitoring and client advocacy functions as part of the HOPE Team.

Responsibilities

• Provide support through transportation, encouragement, and role modeling.
• Facilitate group meetings and compose minutes.
• Supervise and schedule support associates.
• Develop wellness recovery action plans with consumers.
• Administer medications to clients.
• Monitor and assess clients' mental health status and provide supportive counseling.
• Provide crisis intervention services.
• Arrange and provide transportation for clients to appointments and social outings.
• Document services, including group notes and maintaining medical records.
• Develop staff and client schedules.
• Attend required training and team meetings.
