Patient Care Technician

About This Role

This role primarily focuses on delivering nursing assistance and patient care to ensure the comfort, safety, and personal needs of patients. The technician will assist with daily living activities and perform hygiene and comfort procedures within a unit-based, self-directed patient care team.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing assistance and patient care for patient comfort, safety and personal needs
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Perform procedures for physical hygiene and comfort of patients
• Collaborate with licensed and non-licensed team members within a unit-based, self-directed patient care team

Requirements

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry OR Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA) OR Registered Medical Assistant (AMT) OR Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (NHA)
• One (1) year of patient care experience as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or other relevant acute, direct patient care experience

Qualifications

• One (1) year of patient care experience, as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or other relevant acute, direct patient care experience.

Nice to Have

• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units

Certifications
