About This Role

This Patient Care Tech position provides direct patient care under the supervision of licensed clinical staff within a MedSurg, Renal Urology unit. It is ideal for a nursing student with prior healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care to patients from birth through the lifecycle
  • Demonstrate competency with treatments, procedures and equipment appropriate to the clinical setting and hospital policy

Requirements

  • 1 year of PCT, CMA, or CNA experience
  • Phlebotomy experience
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Certification for Certified Medical Assistant, Nursing Assistant, Phlebotomy, or Patient Care Technician program

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare facility with bedside patient care experience; phlebotomy experience/certification required.

Certifications

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required) Certified Medical Assistant (Required) Phlebotomy (Required) Nursing Assistant (Required) Patient Care Technician program (Required)
