This Patient Care Tech position provides direct patient care under the supervision of licensed clinical staff within a MedSurg, Renal Urology unit. It is ideal for a nursing student with prior healthcare experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients from birth through the lifecycle
- Demonstrate competency with treatments, procedures and equipment appropriate to the clinical setting and hospital policy
Requirements
- 1 year of PCT, CMA, or CNA experience
- Phlebotomy experience
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Certification for Certified Medical Assistant, Nursing Assistant, Phlebotomy, or Patient Care Technician program
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare facility with bedside patient care experience; phlebotomy experience/certification required.
