Patient Care Tech - Intermediate Care Unit

About This Role

This Patient Care Tech role provides essential care to patients across all life stages within the intermediate care unit, working under the guidance of licensed clinical staff. The position focuses on demonstrating competency with various treatments, procedures, and equipment according to hospital policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients from birth through their lifecycle
• Demonstrate competency with treatments appropriate to the clinical setting and hospital policy
• Demonstrate competency with procedures appropriate to the clinical setting and hospital policy
• Demonstrate competency with equipment appropriate to the clinical setting and hospital policy

Requirements

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• BCLS - Basic Life Support (Upon Hire)

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• No experience required, 1 year of patient care experience preferred

Nice to Have

• 1 year of patient care experience
• CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant
• Certification from a Patient Care Technician program
