As a Patient Care Advocate, you will help patients navigate a Prescription Payment Plan, working with various stakeholders to ensure seamless enrollment, eligibility verification, cost-sharing, and prescription fulfillment. Your role will focus on improving access to affordable prescription medications for patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with enrolling in the program, ensuring all necessary personal and insurance information is provided and verifying eligibility.
- Help patients confirm that their prescribed medications are covered under the program, and manage the approval process for eligible medications.
- Reduce patients' out-of-pocket costs by applying the program benefits, managing copayments, coinsurance, and assisting with additional copay assistance.
- Coordinate with participating pharmacies to ensure the correct application of benefits during prescription filling, ensuring patients pay the reduced amount.
- Support patients by ensuring they continue receiving medications at reduced costs, monitoring adherence to medication regimens, and ensuring continued eligibility.
- Guide patients through annual renewals and inform them about any updates to the program or medication formulary.
Requirements
- Experience in healthcare, insurance, or customer service
- Strong attention to detail

- Ergonomic desk and chair setup
- Stable, high-speed internet (min 10 Mbps downstream, 5 Mbps upstream)
- Comfort with technology and ability to learn new systems quickly
- Self-motivation and independence in a remote environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in a virtual setting
- Adaptability to changing technologies and procedures
Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare, insurance, or customer service (prescription assistance programs a plus)
